About the Brittany
Brittanys originated in the Brittany region of France as versatile pointing and retrieving dogs for upland game birds. Smaller and more energetic than English pointers, they combine hunting ability with eager, sensitive temperaments. They are sometimes confused with English Spaniels but are distinct hunters.

Brittanys are eager, intelligent, and highly trainable hunting dogs with wonderful personalities and strong desire to please. They're affectionate, playful, and sensitive, responding excellently to positive reinforcement.
