About the Havanese
Havanese originated in Cuba as companions for wealthy Spanish colonists, descended from European toy spaniels and bichon-type dogs. These small, affectionate dogs became Cuba's national dog, valued for centuries as devoted companions. Their warm, outgoing nature and trainability make them ideal lap dogs.
Temperament
Havanese are affectionate, playful, and social little dogs who thrive on human companionship and love being involved in family life. They're intelligent, eager to please, and remarkably responsive to training.
