We built Woofio to help you care for your dog — not to collect data we don't need.
Woofio ("we", "us", "our") is a dog health and care platform operated as an independent software product. If you have privacy questions, contact us at [email protected].
When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the name and identifier those services provide. We use this to authenticate you and to send you health reminders for your dog.
You voluntarily provide your dog's name, breed, date of birth, sex, and weight history. Optionally you may upload a profile photo. This data exists solely to generate and personalise your dog's health calendar.
Vaccine dates, medication names, vet visit notes, weight logs, and grooming records you enter are stored against your account and used to build your dog's care plan. We do not share individual health records with third parties.
If you use the vet or groomer finder, we request your approximate location to show nearby results. We do not store precise location data persistently; it is used only at the time of the search.
We collect anonymous crash reports and basic usage metrics (screens viewed, features used) through Sentry and standard analytics. These contain no personally identifiable information and help us fix bugs and improve the product.
If you enable push notifications, Telegram reminders, or WhatsApp alerts, we store the relevant token or phone number to deliver those messages.
We process your data on the basis of contract (to deliver the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), and consent (marketing emails, optional notifications). You can withdraw consent at any time via account settings.
Your data is stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS infrastructure in the EU (Ireland, eu-west-1). Supabase acts as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement. Data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+).
We do not sell your data. Sub-processors we use:
Each processor is contractually required to handle your data in accordance with GDPR. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data and dog records are permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate statistics (breed averages, feature usage counts) may be retained.

Woofio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We will notify you by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
